Island Verse Literary Collective (IVLC) weaves the San Juan archipelago together through written and spoken word.

EVENTS

We host spoken word and poetry performances that amplify regional voices, storytellers, and authors, providing a space for their stories to be heard, including a weekly Open Mic and monthly Poetry + Jazz in Friday Harbor, just a short walk from the ferry.

WORKSHOPS

Workshops for honing your craft in the written and spoken word.​

  • Seasonal workshops with island art organizations and nonprofits.

PUBLISHING
+ POET LAUREATE

We are building the scaffolding to open a publishing house for island voices. We're also creating a platform for electing a youth and an adult poet laureate whose voices will represent the San Juan Island archipelago.
